Like I said in another forum, there is no such thing as an 89 Daytona V6 - its a 90+. Bet it has the "cockpit" interior, not the 2 box carryover from 84 right?

Well, is your dashboard rounded around the top of the guages and your speakers on the doors perfectly round? I'll post pics if that doesnt clarify.

Yup, so yours is a 90-93 model like this:

If it were an 84-89, it would look like this:

Wish you had a turbo inline 4 I guess. There isnt much you can do with the V6 Like 71RR said - There has been a few that have turboed it, but you need some real skill to pull that off.

The best you can hope for is to either replace the V6 with a turbo 4 cylinder, go forced induction with the V6 or go old school and build it up from scratch. Going old school would be the best, I don't think it has been done with one of the V6 Daytonas yet, bore it, stroke it, balance and blueprint it, lighten everything up, rollerize it, port and polish it and raise the compression through the roof. I would love to see one done up right like that. I wanted to gut my '88 Shelby Z and convert it to RWD and drop a built 440 into it, but that never came to be.
