sorry, its a '92. im having trouble figuring out the little plastic oval pieces that hold on the large black piece that spans the back. i dont know if the plastic screws are stripped or if im just trying wrong, or maybe im not even supposed to be trying there. thanks for the help so far.

Yeah, those things are a pain in the butt, aren't they?

I usually end up breaking them off because they are plastic screws inside a plastic holder. I haven't gotten to the point of needing more yet, but I bet that the dodge dealerships will still have them.

Anyway, take off that black panel, and the tail lights come out really easily on the gen 3 cars (92-93) with a couple of torx screws on either side. I don't think that you even have to remove the panel on the inside on gen 3's. (I just did it with a '93 parts car, you'd think that I could remember for sure, but I can't)

Either way, it's super easy to get the tail lights off once you get the black cover off. The only pain in the rear may be separating the 3 pieces from each other. (Both tail lights and the center brake light) They are screwed together with a few screws that may be rusted together.

Use light pressure while removing the screws. They are there just to spread the black clips and help them grab. A small flat head will pull the clips up...
