SRT-4 engine into a Daytona?
Hey guys, I just picked up a really nice 91 ( I think ) Daytona CS for helping a friend clean up his junkyard. It's a turbo4/5-speed combo, the motor is blown and I was wondering if anyone here has done or seen a Daytona with a SRT-4 swap? I'd find a complete wrecked car as a donor. Any input is appreciated. I tried the search and nothing came up.

I am trying to do the exact same thing, main question I have is; Will the transsmision bolt on to the SRT4 engine block?
Thank you
The stock daytona transmission will not be compatible with a newer SRT-4 engine block. You'll also need a new wiring harness, computer, motor mounts, etc... to get it to work. If you are really handy and know what you're doing then you should be alright but this wouldn't be a job for someone who has little to no experience doing engine swaps and you're putting a modern engine in an older car.
there's A LOT of guys that have done this swap. you can actually use the daytona trans on the srt4 engine but a little inginuity is needed.
I'm in process of using a DOHC 2.4 head on a 2.5 block. it's really easy to do.
