i have a 92 daytona 2.5 non turbo and ive been having this problem for a little while now. When i drive the car for about a half hour or so or when its good and warmed up every time i come to a complete stop my check gauges light comes on and my oil pressure drops all the way down but when i give it gas and take off the light goes off or if i put it in park it goes off and the pressure gauge goesback up i dont get it. This might be a dumb question but im no mechanic. thanks for your time

 

can anyone help me out ??? i heard something about a oil sending unit could that be it ?

 

i would start there could just be bad sending unit(right next to oil filter)

 

Check fault codes: http://www.allpar.com/fix/codes/index.html

This could be a bad speed sensor, which can cause it to stall or almost stall at stops, and therefore will trip a low oil pressure light.
