the trouble code 23 is for the air charge temp sensor. as far as the stalling goes ,I would look into the coolant temp sensor and the oxygen sensor.

good news, when i drove my DD to work and back home, it did not stall. On my way home i stopped at are local and only gas station aand filled my tank up. started my car back up and drove it the rest of the way home. It did not stall. but hte next time i will be driving it will be on friday so i will see how it goes.

Thank YOu to the person who replied. Well about that reply i have already bought a air charge temp sensor however i could not replace it becuase i could not find the correct spot it in. i unsrewed some that look exatly like the one i bought but when i took out the old one it look differnt beceuase instead of it being kinda of opened at the end that goes into the throttle body it was a rod and had white things all around the tip so i did not replace it. i do not think it is the O2 sensor because i would still be stalling but thank you for any and all replys

Hopefully the hall effects was the problem. You still need to change the charge temp. sensor though, it won't keep it from running, but it will cause it to run a little off. The '88 Shelby Z I had is currently throwing the same code and it runs and drives, but it's down on power big time and barely barks the tires when launched hard when it should, and use to, boil the tires into towering pillars of smoke. It is also throwing the code 45 which is for overboost, but I believe it is a result of the other codes problem causing this problem. My '88 Shelby Z had and to this day still has a problem with the speedometer and odometer, they work off and on when they want to. They both run from the same thing so I'm guessing that your speedometer doesn't work either.

I would of liked to have changed the air charge temp sensor. Only if i Knew where it goes. I looked all around the throttle body but cant find it. It is definatly running a little off. When I started it up today it idle at about 1500 then started to drop and stoped at 1000 then it would go alittle up then a little down up down, fast down fast up, you get the point. i just changed me vhec. dist. sensor. b/c i was getting the code 15. Before i replace it, my speedom. would go on and off. but now it stays on all the time. however for my odometer, it dosen't work.

I hope that when i drive my car to work tommorw it wont die.

well when i bought it before i found somthing that looked extaly like it. the connector and everything on it was eacxtly the same but when i unsrewed it the sensor had a white paste all around the tip. also the tip was a bar and he one that auto zone gave me had a "basket" looking tip with like a "ball" in side.

Well it's looking more and more like you got it fixed with the hall effects.[sm=smiley20.gif]
