Does anybody know how to remove the stock shifter handle from a 91 5 speed daytona so I can put on a new custom one?

Ok I figured it out; once you pull down the shift boot you find two clips that when released let the shift **** slide off.

Curious....what for custom shifter did you get?? A Neon performance shifter??
