Default bent valves ?

has anyone ever heard of an interchangeable engine ? my friend says his 2.5LT daytona i one and it means that no matter how the camshaft is turned and where the valves are the pistons cant hit the vavles. i think this is bull**** (and i think he wrecked his head but turning hte camshaft gear without the timing belt on it then not aligning it properly before trying to start up his engine. now it wont start). did he probably bend his valves like im thinking ?

my second question is does a 2.2 head fit a 2.5 engine ? cause i have one laying around from my 86 shadow that i would give him... and ive heard the engines share some parts

I think you mean interferance engine. I am not sure if it is or not. How did he turn it over? by hand, a wrench, starter?

hey your friend is right about the pistons and valves wont bend valves whe timing belt brakes , and the only diff in a 2.2 and a 2.5 is the crank and the piston both us the same block and con rods after 89 and up 88 2.5 is a tall block and everything is diff .
