Default 89 Daytona 2.5L Turbo Help

I just picked up a 89 Daytona 2.5L Turbo. I was wondering if their are any other cars that have compatible parts. I know for Colt's you can put in the 4G63 (Laser, Talon, and Eclipse 2.0L Turbo motors) with some hacking, I just was wondering if this car can use parts from other cars with pretty easy changes. Thanks in advance for anyone that answers.

P.S. What are some good first upgrades for the Daytona besides, 3" exauhst, intercooler, and tune up? Those three will be my first things to do. Also are their any free mods with the Daytona?

Most every car Chrysler made then had the 2.5L Turbo as an option. If your looking for more power you should look for a 2.2L Turbo II from a Daytona Shelby Z, Lebaron, etc., They are easily identifyable by the intercooler mounted next to the radiator in front of the air box with a hose from the top going into the air box. The Turbo II's are a completely different animal than the other turbo motors as it is completely different internally and has no interchangeable parts with the other turbo motors except the valve cover. They are also built far better and stronger and you will also need the A-555 Getrag manual transaxle to go along with it, they are attached to every Turbo II because none of the previous transaxles are strong enough to handle it's added power.

The best first upgrade that I can think of is a Mopar Performance PCM, on the Turbo II's it almost doubles the boost bringing the boost up from the factorys 7.5 psi boost to 13 psi boost. A cheap easy upgrade would be to replace the stock ignition coil with the MSD Blaster ignition coil, that is if the 2.5L Turbo has the old style cylinder coil that is mounted on the passenger side inner fender well. The 3" exhaust, intercooler, larger throttle body, Super 60 fuel pump and injectors, BOV, larger turbo, extrude honed intake manifold, etc. There is one mod that costs nothing and gives an almost unlimited power gain by allowing unlimited boost, but the engine will go boom or meltdown after the first time you try it, so I will not even mention how. Just stick with the regular mods that cost cash and not engines.
