My fuel gauge on my 85 Laser XT stoped working after I pumped all the fuel out of it and then refilled it. So I droped the tank so I could take off the sending unit, however it is rusted on, and I can't get it to turn out....SO
I am wondering if a tank from a 2.5L car is the same as my 2.2L Turbo. ???
The only reason I am thinking they may be different is because of the Fuel Injection on the 2.2 and aren't the 2.5 carbed.??

 

Also..
is there a way to test the sending unit when the tank if off of the car, say with a multimeter or something??

I have had a 89/91/93 daytona's, all base model 2.5's. They have all been efi but I am not sure if the tanks are interchangeable
