Default electrical short

Hey guys. New to this forum site. I have a 1992 Daytona 3.0 V6 with a little over 49k original miles. My friend and I took an ohm/voltage/amp/does all meter to it and also a tester light because my battery has a constant draw on it. It takes longer than a half hour but no more than 4-5 days for the battery to completely drain. Once it drains, there ain't no jumpin it either. The only thing that tested bad, short of ripping some of the casing off of the positive battery cable, was my starter relay. The tester light came on right in front of the fuse box, which led us to believe that the problem was in there. All of the other relays and all of the fuses checked out. The numbers for the relays were all between 88-92, except for the starter, which posted numbers in the low 70s. Any help on this brain buster of a problem is appreciated. For right now I just pop the positive whenever the car is off and haven't had any problems, and while it is a nice theft deterrent (ha ha) it's a remedy and not a cure for the problem and it is also a hassle.

Your n00b of the site,

Matt

Default RE: electrical short

Replaced the starter relay, haven't had a problem since. All that hassle over an 11 dollar part..... go figure.
