Default A Complete Overhaul

I am just curious before i get myself into this big project, would it be possible to fit a 440 engine from the older '69 Daytona into a '86?

Default RE: A Complete Overhaul

that is a completely insane question...I thinks its awsome![sm=signs007.gif]it is possible and a lot of work depending on how stock you want the car to look.I have a 360 in mine and thought about a 440 and I think it would fit with a little more work.the engine compatrment is wide enough but just a little short but a little craming and it will fit.if i had a 440 and didnt care about handeling as much i would have done it to mine.dont know if you seen the thread about the V8 conversion or not but there are more pictures of my car there.a 440 in a daytona would be crazy fast and front heavy unless you streched the front a few inches behind the fender,I have seen it done and it looks good if its done right.
But to answer your question it can be done!
