Default intercooler for 1988 Daytona 2.2 Turbo

Does anyone know if I bought an intercooler for my 2.2 turbo if it would bolt right up, or will I have to do some custom mods?? Thanks

You will definately need a few more items, check out the intercooler conversion kit for the 2.2L Turbo I.

Spearco also offered an after market intercooler kit for the early TI engines as well. It was attached over the transaxle with special brackets which meant that you didn't have to "EDIT" the hood to use it. Both kits are good, but the best thing to do would be to convert the car to TII status. The TII uses a more efficient "blow through" design.

Good luck,

Forward Motion may still have the kits, I know that they use to. Click on their name to go to their website and give them a call, they will help you out with all of your intercooling needs.[sm=smiley2.gif]
