Default Interchangable Parts???

Would parts from a BASE MODEL '91 Daytona be able to be interchanged with parts from a turbo Daytona? If so, what years? I would mainly be looking to interchange parts dealing with the engine and not so much the interior or exterior.

Depends on what parts. What are you looking to do?
The interior changed in 90, but the engines remained pretty much the same for all daytonas (slight changes were made).

Even if the '91 is a plain base model Daytona.

Put it this way... I just put the camshaft and roller rockers out of a 90 Daytona Turbo in my 85 Laser TBI...

http://www.allpar.com/mopar/22.html (this has a break down of year to year changes)

The 84, 85, 86, and 87 were available with carbureters (TBI started in 84 on the turbo models), but other than that most engine parts are still interchangeable.

let me break it down either farther..

84 model
wheel hubs are 4 bolt 100mm only 84 model year with this setup
5 bolt 100mm pattern 85-93
***NOTE*** 85-89 the steering knuckle were the press in bearings..anything after was bolt on
Turbo model had a manual WG setup...not computer controlled..
electronics between the turbo and EFI cars are not interchangable.(and for that matter they are never interchangable for any year between turbo and EFI)

all daytona's windshields are interchangable
The doors are
the Hatch I seem are not... 84-86 then 87-91 then 92-93
Fenders changed slightly 84-88-89? 89-91 then 92-93
Interior years:84-89 the seats were basically the same until 90-93 then the layout and dash changed.
Motors.. Hmmm
Turbo I 84-- the bastard motor.. g-head 10mm holes for the headbolts.. non-computer controlled boost
85 model the G head got 11mm headbolts...mid-year distrib change from the skinny cap to the short fat cap..change in electronics for the change of Distrib..
this was the only year a computer change with one engine part.
86-87 electronics for the turbo interchanged for both intercooled and non-intercooled motors(make sure you keep the IC w/IC and NON-IC to NON-IC)
88-89 computer will swap
90-91 swap
92-93 will swap
turbos are another story..
84-87 can work..change the wastegate can on the 84 to use with 85-87
87-90 Garrett TII turbos
87-93 Mitsu turbos (89-93 used a slightly larger exhaust housing 2.5in)
