2.2L Problems-Stalling in drive
Hey everyone,
I am new here, but I am an avid Dodge fanatic. About 3 months ago, I bought a 1987 Dodge Daytona Turbo Z. After the first month, it blew the head gasket, and cracked the head, so I replaced the head. Just recently, about 2 weeks ago, I finally got it to run again
.
The other day I was driving to summer school, and the car suddenly lost power (still ran, but no response from the throttle). I get to an intersection, and the car stalls. I couldn't get it started for an hour, and when it finally started again, every time I come to a stop at an intersection in drive, it stalls again, but now it starts back up with no problem. Right now, the car lacks some serious power, and the only solution I have come up with until i find the problem is to put it in neutral and come to a stop.
One thing I have noticed is my fuel level gauge, it reads half a tank left. This past sunday, I filled it up, and I have barely driven it since, and it's already consumed a 1/2 tank.
Any ideas???
