92 Daytona Water Pump
Hey all,
I have a 92 Daytona and i recently replaced the water pump because it was leaking out of the bleeder hole when it's blown. After replacing the water pump, gaskets and o-ring and left it to sit for a day, then i started to refill the antifreeze.... the antifreeze was still leaking out of the hole... what is going on i'm stumped. I removed the water pump and checked the gaskets thay are fine. Any ideas about what might the problem be?
Thanks,
Devin

if ur still having problems, you can try teflon(sp) tape. good for closin gaps. btw i think he has a 3.0, most people would specify if it was an iroc or r/t which of course would have the 2.5. well most of them anyway
Hey,
yes it is a 3.0 and i don't believe this hole is supposed to be plugged, all the manuals i have found don't really say to much about this and there was no plug in the water kit i received. BTW this is a new water pump not remanufactured.
I could use all the help i can get cause i'm at my wits end here, thx

Well devin i have a 1990 3.0 and i think that they are the same engine and it was not fun getting to the water pump. If it is the same engine there are two o rings that make its way to water pump. They are on the water inlet pipe that comes from the right side and makes its way to the left side if the engine to the waterpump.
