The part is called the power module. As for finding one new, good luck. It basically controls the engine (fuel injection, ignition, etc). As for finding a new one, good luck. The only ones I have seen are in junk yards.

I have to throw my 2 cents in here,
I can tell you that the modeules can be purchased brand new at Advanced auto, Smyths and Autozone..

Now your Turbo Z would be 84-86 correct..
84 models are not compatible with any other year(logic module)
85-was a cross over year--small cap on SOME engines...
later 85-86 daytona turbos the electronics are the same..(logic modules)

you have two modules in those cars..

under the hood= Power Module
inside car passenger side=logic module.

If you haev ANY questions about these cars feel free to email me at turbobearcat@go-concepts.com or go to www.boostedmopar.com for answers..

Ta for the help guys, I managed to get a power module on E-bay. Now lets just hope that its the 1 witch dosent work.
I had the same problem with the alternator, it didnt charge, and I bought a new 1, but the new 1 didnt charge either so I had to look somwhere else, found out that it was the power modul, so now thats orderd..
The car is originally from 85, but was driven off a pier. So now the engine and almost the whole car is an 88 model.
And yeah its quite a project.[X(]
Im guessing it wont be the last time I use this forum for some help, so thanx guys!

Been doing all the electrical plugs, cut the wires and solider them, quite a bit of work, but since it was in water,
all the electrical has to be redone... Ill try to post some pic's later.. THIS is a cewl project.
Turns out I got LOADS of spare parts.. so if u need anuthing just ask.
