quarter panel damage
There is a way to repair it, but you'll still end up using a little bondo or filler. Cut out the rotted section and tap the edge in just a little bit. Get some sheet metal and cut it to fit just inside the area, overlapping the part you tapped in. Weld it in place, then fill in the edges with body putty or bondo. I've done this several times and if it's done right, you'll never know it was patched. Make sure the back od the repair is rustproofed in some way or the new repair will rust from the back!

I got two words for you... FLOOR BOARDS! Specifically from the fiewall back. All of it from front (including the wheel wells) back to the rear where the taillights are. That rot on the floor is just going to get worse as time goes on. Trust me, thats how mine looks under my front carpet, mine just needs to last until I do exline's conversion though...
The strut towers were starting to rust through on that one near the firewall (the black 89 ES is the one I took the pics of the rusted floors). Thats the reason I took the insaide all out.... I have 90% of the passenger side fixed now. From the rear seat back was still solid, atleast floor wise but infront of that there wasn't much solid metal left. There was a crack that pretty much went all the way across the firewall.... I'm still amazed it held up to the way I drove it.
