Steering rack
Is the rack bad or do you just want to put new boots on the tierods? New boots are usually around $20.
To put new boots on you have to
!)disconnect the tierod from the steering knuckle (strut)
2)take the outer tierod off of the inner tierod (make sure to count the number of turns it takes to removes it, because you will need to turn it the same amount when reinstalling or your alignment will be off)
3)slip the new boot over the inner tierod
4)reinstall the outter tierod on the inner tierod
5)reinstall the outter tierod to the steering knuckle
