Default 1985 Chrysler laser XT turbo

Guys I'm new to the lasers/daytona, I really don't know anything about them. I was wondering if you guys could just give me a little information about this car.
It also had a 5spd tranny, but its blown So I'm putting in a automatic tranny from a 1986 laser non turbo. Do you guys see any problems with doing so?
Thank you all very much for you time and input!!

Umm I dont know alot about lasers, but the only problem you might find is they might have changed a minor detail like the mounts or something like that but i dont really see a problem, but then again i dont know much about lasers, hope this helps a little though

It would be allot easier to replace the 5spd with another. You are going to have to replace the pedals, radiator(or run and external trans cooler), plus I think the motor mounts are different from the 5spd as well. Not to mention the computers are a little different between the auto and stick cars.

Putting another 5speed in the car would be the way to go. A manual trany will outlast an auto anyways. With the computers being different it would suck finding out which wire goes to what.
