Default Engine and trans swap, year to year

I bought a 1991 dodge daytona from a friend at work. Has some body damage from a wreck but the engine and trans were rebuilt like 3 months before the wreck so they are in good condition. I recently found someone selling a 1987 daytona and want to buy it for the body. My current engine is a 3.0L with a manual trans. I'm not sure what engine is in the 87 but know it hasa manual trans. Is there going to be any issue at all with swaping the engine and trans? I thought I read that the 87 through 91's had the same body style but not sure. If there where options on the engine sizes then would it be normal for the motor mounts to be in the same location? Any help you guys can give me with this one would be well appreciated.

The 87 daytonas only had either 4 cylinder n/a or the 4 cylinder turbo. So just thinking i would say the motor mounts would be different since the v6 is bigger and all.

The engine and trans will fit, but you will need more than the motor mounts to do it...Logic and Power modules, wiring harness's, etc. There's a lot more to swapping an engine in cars now than pull and swap unfortunately... But as long as you will have a donor car, I say go for it since you will already have the parts.

I understand that the wiring harness and pcm or ecu which ever you choose tocall it will have to be swapped but the 91 I have still runs great. The frame is messed up and my concern is the motor mounts lining up. If I have to modify those then it is a lot more work thanI can handle myself and will have to get help. As far as just swaping the engine and trans I have done this before so that is no big deal if the mounts will work. Dose anyone know if they will be in the same location or not?
