Hello, I have been having idling issues and other numerous problems with my Dodge Daytona and I wanted to pull the computer codes but the Check Engine light doesn't come on at all. I've tried turning the car on-off-on-off-on (not start, the position right beforestart)many times yet no lights come on besides the"Check Gauges" light, which turns off after starting the car. Am I doing something wrong?

 

I'd start by checking all the bulbs for the warning lights. When you turn the key to "on" every indicator light should come on for a few seconds then go off. At this point the only lights that should be on (with engine off) should be your oil light, power limited or check engine light, and the check gauges light (and possibly the seatbelt light). Make sure all the bulbs are good- if they are you may have a problem with the wiring from the logic module to the cluster or the logic module itself may be bad.

That's probably your problem, the bulb for the CEL is burnedout. If it's not, then it looks like you need a new PCM.
