Default Please help!!!! Neon lacks power

Im in need of some help from the PRO'S.

I have a 2003 Dodge neon SXT 2.0L manual with 65,000 mil.
It is stock. Tune up done by useing hanes manual this is the first time the car has given me problems. Ive used Fuel injector cleaners no help. Bought a k&n filter no help.

Problem with the car is- anytime that i excelerate it feels like it isent getting any fuel, it gives a jerk ing motion, i have to let up on the gas and press on the peddle real slow to speed up. Exp. 4 gear 4000 rpm's shift in to 5th going 65mph and slam on the peddle and it jerks.

Please help

Thank you

I had this exact same problem with my truck before it died. It wasn't good news either, at least in my situation. I checked my oil, fuel injector and spark plugs just incase, but nothing seemed to work. You might have a leak in your radiator which is getting into the engine and sapping/ruining your engine. The repair on my truck's engine was going to be 4-5k... which was more than the thing was worth. Thankfully, this mechanical disaster led to my purchasing of an '05 Neon SXT.

Check into the Catalytic Converter. Look it up and see if it describes the symtoms of what you're having. Let me know- I just got done solving a simliar problem with my 01 Neon.
