Pioneer AVIC-N3
I've been searching, and i couldn't find anything in the forum. I have a Pioneer AVIC-N3 installed on my '00 neon, and the guy that installed it, put the hide away unit (or brain unit) on the passenger side, undereath the carpet, where you rest your feet, now everytime somebody gets in my car, people step on it. I'm afraid that eventually it would breake. When i ask the guy, he said that there is no other place to install it. Now my question is, if anybody has this head unit, or similar, and how its installed.
What? He shouldof tried to put it behind/under the glove box. What will happen if someone spills something on the carpet or have wet feet? Try doing a Google search.
I read some reviews on the Crutchfield site about that radio and some people are putting the brain behind or under the glove box. Thats your best bet.
that is were they actually installed it, but if you strech your legs, you will kick it, besides, its taking away leg room for the passengers. Does any of you guys have something similar?
if you wanna get complicated you could always move it under the center console or the center dash (where your AC controls and stuff are) kinda hard to fit much of anything down in there but its possible... only other place to move it would be under the passenger seat or under the top dash(might be a lil spot there if you dont have an aftermarket security system or the OEM one...)
under the center console, is impossible, i have the sirius receiver, and my ipod adapter, i'm going to try to move it under the seat, if i have time and fits. Thanks everybody for the replyes, you guys been of great help, and its always nice to find people with the same interests
