Default question about repacing shifters...

i have a manual transmission and i am looking into replacing the stock r/t shifter **** witha short throw shifter. i know there are bushings in there somewhere, i read about that. but if i replace the stock shifter with a short throw shifter, will these bushings be visible or do i have to take something apart to get to them? i have no idea. please help. thanks.

when u take off the center console to get to the shifter u would c the bushings. there relatively easy to take off i suggest u get some booger bushings and it would feelmore firm.
