Default Cold Air Intake and KN fliter?

Hi i just got my cai today and i finish installing it but i have two questons? 1. Is how do you guys put the sensore on the tube because the rubber gormet fell off and now the sensor doesn't fit? 2. I got the KN filter rc-9630 from amazon.com, do i have to oil it before i drive my car or does it come pre-oil? I will post pictures when i get everything finished under the hood. Here is the cai i order from ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/00-01...spagenameZWDVW Thanks

When I did my turbo I just drilled a hole in the back side of the filter. I would try and drill out the pipe a little and stuff it in there with some rubber support. If not your check engine lite will come on and off. Good luck.

i was thinking about putting some electrical tape around the sensore so it would fit snug tight, so it wouldn't come off.

you can't put the rubber thing back in? I wouldn't drill anymore holes. I would do the electrical tape thing if you can't get the rubber thing back in. I had to really lube my sensor to get it in the rubber gasket thing too.

Yes, that is K&N's universal cone filter, and it IS pre-oiled.

As far as a lack of a gromet, you could also just drill the hole and use a little bit of silicon to seal it and hold it there... just a little bit, I think I don't have to explain how careful you should be of where not to goop it on to.
