Default Moisture in the headlight

Hey All,

Dodge Ram Newbie here. Just bought a 2009 Big Horn Hemi. it Turns When detailing the truck for delivery, the dealer pressure washed the truck and got some water in the head lights. I pointed it out at delivery and the dealer said it should go away in a few days.

Its been 2 weeks and its still there. I tried to take the parking light out in order to get some air in there to dry out and I cant figure it out. The owners manual is useless. Iguess i could just bring it in for service, but I dont want to loose the truck or work for a day.

I found the access port in the front wheelwell but have no idea how to disconnect the bulb.

Is it a twist out?? Is there a clip I need to remove?? im lost, and there really isnt a lot of room in there for my hand

there has to be an easier way

Your headlamp housings are defective. Moisture should not get into the housing, even with a pressure washer. They are supposed to be fully sealed to prevent this. Even if you dry it out now, you'll have problems with car washes in the future. I'd make an appointment to get them replaced under warranty.

Don't touch it. Have the dealer order you a new one and install it themselves. Tell the idiot with the pressure washer to back off.

Pressure washer should not affect it, but yes, the dealer should replace under warranty.

I had the same problem with the passenger side headlight. The rear housing and lens did not mate up. The dealer replaced the headlight.

I have had that problem on several new chrysler cars....neon, dakota, durango, so far this one hasn't and hopefully remains that way. Dealer should have made an appt. when you picked it up to bring it back.
