Default loose tailpipes

I noticed that the right tailpipe was hanging lower than the left. I pushed down on the tip and the pipe went down 10 inches. I repositioned the pipe and found that the clamp was not tight. The next few days I noticed that the left exhaust tip was sticking out past the bumper, again I repositioned the pipe and tightened that clamp down. Things seem to be staying in place for now. Anybody else had this issuue?

My right exhaust tip was misaligned but I don't think it was loose. Somebody probably just forgot to tighten them on the assembly line.

Yet another quality issue. Not as bad as your bed being 1" lower on one side or having 2 chrome and 2 painted handles, but another quality issue nonetheless.

Yeah, mine were misaligned too. Even though I aligned the tailpipes in my car when I installed new mufflers and it looked like it was the same process, I took it back to the dealer the week after I bought it and let them do the adjustment just in case there was something different about this one. '09 is the first year where the tailpipes go into the indentation in the bumper, right? It'll probably take the guys at the factory a little time to get good at this...

I had the same problem, at first I thought some jerk backed into my truck and bent my passanger side tail pipe. After close inspection I could not detect any damage. I grabbed my tool box and slide under the truck to see if I could fix it. The tips are held in place by clamp rings that can be easily tighened or lossened with a socket wrench. I forgot what size it was but once you loosen the clamp bolt you can easliy align the tip to your liking. I used a tape measure to make sure the tips were even on both sides. The whole deal only took a few minutes. Chances are they will probably come loose again sooner or later.
