Default So my truck weighs...

I took some stuff to the scrap yard today and got on the scale. Without me the truck weighs 5520lbs and with me 5680lbs. I carry at all times a bag of tow and tie down straps, fire extinguisher, hatchet, small shovel, and a car seat. I also added the step bars. There is nothing else to add weight from stock.

2009 Crew Cab Hemi, 4x4. TRX-4 edition, no console.

Given that the GVWR is 6,600 - 6,800 lbs, I had guessed my truck weighs somewhere around 5,350, which is probably about right for a 2wd.

With absolutely nothing added and 1/4 tank of gas, mine weighs about 4620 according to the scale at work. I swear, I must literally have the only '09 rcsb 2wd hemi truck on the forum. I haven't found anyone else yet.

^^^I have never seen one in person yet.

I also had a half a tank of gas. I forgot to add that. I also forgot about the 25lbs of tools in my one storage bin.

Hey, you're navy? I just noticed the stuff at the bottom of your posts. I was regular active duty from '91-'95, got frocked 2nd class but not paid before my enlistment ended. I joined the active reserves several years later, ended up getting recalled to active duty after the terrorist attacks. I'm an ABF2.

Yes. I joined in 1999 and am currently a First Class. I made the Seaman to Admiral program and am going to be commissioned in Aug.

Where are you stationed?

Oh, I'm not even IRR anymore. I joined in '91, and ended up as a frocked 2nd class when I got out in '95. I've been out completely since mid '02 after I got reactivated. I was an ABF2. When I was regular active duty, I was in VF143 (the pukin dogs), an F14 squadron based out of NAS Oceana in VA Beach. Then I was stationed on the USS Nassau out of Norfolk.

Now I run a Pull a Part junkyard in Montgomery, AL.

Got it. I have 10 years left until retirement and my goal is 0-4. I am probably going to do more than 20 though, probably 22-24. It all depends on my family. I am glad I got half of my career's deployments out before I was married.
