Default This thing is big...and sucks to wash!

I went outside today, it was over 50* and it has not been this warm in weeks. Most of the winter has been between -25 and 15. I hand washed it, dryed it, cleaned the wheel wells and wheels and it took over an hour. I had two QC's before this and they were big, but this one seems to have so much more area to wash.

Any other thoughts?

Yes, its taller and it seems to have a bit more metal to wash. I realized when I purchased the Ram that it wasn't a Toyota Tacoma or Nissan Frontier. Once the weather warms a bit, grab a beer or two and enjoy the wash.

Yeah... there's no way I'm washing this thing myself. When I had my vette it took me 2 hours to wash and detail (I'm a little meticulous). I wouldn't let anyone else wash that thing, but with the truck - that's one of the reasons I got it - I don't care as much and I can just go and get it washed and detailed for $20 when I need to. Then again I washed my last 2 trucks about once a year.

It's definitely a lot of sheet metal to wash...lol. I was thinking the same thing last weekend when I washed mine up about how big this truck really is.

I am with you sarguy. I had a QC before that I did not mind washing at all. The dang hood on this thing is too tall. I now have a crewcab and I can't reach all of the roof from the bed. It takes much longer too wash than my QC.

I went to Wal-Mart and bought a telescoping pole that has a type of wash mitt on the end. Makes it a lot easier to do the middle of the hood up by the cowl and the roof.
