Default My first Dodge...my first truck!

Ok...so I have a few questions. I bought a 09 SLT 4x4 with a Hemi and have a few questions. (I'm a newbie to the Dodge truck world so bear with me.)

99% sure my truck is one of the originals...I don't have the locking tailgate or the MDS light. Also, the outside temperature sensor causes the check engine light to come on so I need to get that fixed. (Also, when I turn on the lights there were a couple screwy dash lights that came on but I think that's all centered around the same thing.)

My main question is that I'm noticing a vibration (It almost seems like a rubbing of some sort, although you can't hear it) when I'm going about 35-45mph. You can feel it somewhat in the gas pedal as well as the steering wheel. Is this normal? Is this just a Dodge Hemi thing? Thanks! I love the site and love my new truck once I get used to it.

First off, congrats on the purchase! I'm sure you will love it.

Yes, the vibration you are feeling seems to exist on most of the 09's with the HEMI. You can read more about it here https://dodgeforum.com/forum/4th-gen...gas-pedal.html We shouldn't feel it as other vehicles with the HEMI don't have this issue. There is something the engineers missed that has allowed the vibration to get through.

Post picks of your truck when you get a chance!

Not all the trucks have the vibration issue. Apprently most of them do at some degree but me and a few others here don't have it.

Congrats and welcome to the gang! There is some vibration but after owning a Jeep Rubicon...all is well with this beast!

Welcome. The TRX-4's do not have the vibration. Hopefully it is something that will get fixed.

Welcome. Sounds like all of your problems have been covered on here by others, including the vibration.
