Why does the new ram have this lump on the bottom left of the passenger side? that lump is killing the leg room and pretty uncomfortable, not to mention the middle back seat, its small and not as comfortable as the left and the right seats. it says it sits 6 but realistically 5. I wish i could just hammer in that lump in the passenger side. what's in there anyways?

What vehicle have you ever been in where the middle seat is as comfortable as the seats on either side?

 

I was on a 747 once and the middle seats were all the same as the sides. Really who actually buys a pickup thinking about seating LOL, oops I did, tried it on for size too first, talll kids gotta get dna to see if they are mine. Good thing they look like me or I would question it. They fit back there with a case of beer between them just fine. That is how you measure the fit of a back seat of a pickup. The case of beer has no feelings.

 

Middle seats have always been nasty places to ride. Sure, you can get 6 in most big vehicles, but the 2 people in the middle will never be happy. I've got a bucket seat crew cab, and I've taken 5 people in it plenty of places. Of course all those trips were just out to lunch or something. There's no way in heck I'd let anyone ride in the middle for more than 25 or 30 miles. However, the middle is good for car seats and smaller kids.

As for the floor, well yea that does stink. I'd much rather have a fully flat floor back there like the F150.

 

the hump is actually located in the passenger side. it's on the floor where you place your feet and there is this hump on the left side in addition the the middle hump. I know that the middle hump is there cuz that's where tranny is located, and who cares about sitting in the middle right? im talking about the passenger side and this hump is killing the leg room u feel like u dont know where to place your left foot cuz of this.

 

The hump is the same as the last gen trucks. In fact, check out any truck and you will see they are all similar. I sat in a Tacoma and it was probably the worst of them all.

 

No hump in my truck?? I am jealous. About the back seat, if you want a back seat that will make everyone comfortable and well you can hump back there too LOL Get yourself a 76 Eldorado, It has a sofa back there,no hump on the floor fwd.

 

My wife's Trailblazer has the hump on the front passenger foot well (along with the middle tranny hump) and is annoying as hell. I have to sit with my feet touching and to the right. Oddly enough my Durango's foot well is flat,
