Default Update of RES radio

Is there any way to update the software in the base radio so that I can get all of the Sirius channels?

Thanks.

I'm still in my free year of Sirius. Do I need to subscribe to get the higher channels? For instance, I don't get the Pittsburgh traffic channel.

I had to call them to "activate" the free year.

I have most of the Sirius channels, I'm just missing the uppermost ones.
