This last week I added true duals to my truck. I had a friend listen to the exhaust and he said that if I added an X Pipe to it I would get more torque.

Any thoughts?

 

Ask your friend how much more torque you will get and how an X pipe can do this.

 

If I remember correctly the H pipe was for torque and X was for horsepower. It comes down to air flow at RPMs.

 

Having an x or h pipe helps even out the pulse and get the exhaust gases flowing faster. I picked up 3 hp and 6 tq after adding in an h pipe. Some say it will quiet the exhaust note a little but it made mine a lot louder at about 3k rpms.

 

They both do the same thing, X pipe in general is just a bit better over the H pipe
