ok, so before i start i know that some of you will wonder why i did this, but i am not a fan of chrome at all. i am trying to get rid of all of the chrome on my truck. future plans are for some bumper replacements by ranch hand and somehow getting the grille to not be chrome anymore...

How'd you do it? Do you have any pictures of them on your truck?

 

i bought some of the krylon camo paint at the auto parts store and then made some templates out of plastic to make the shapes. threw down a base coat of brown and then came back with the green. i still need to put some clear on them, but plan on doing that this afternoon. hopefully i can get them installed tomorrow sometime. i also bought a set of door emblems from ~2000 model year ram and did the same treatment. i'll definitely post pics when i get them back on the truck

 

Color matched grille from mopardiscountparts.com for about $220. It'll be the easiest mod you'll do as far as color matching goes.

all i had was my crappy crackberry camera phone. i'll get a better pic tomorrow. i think it turned out really well. definitely different. now i just gotta find the cash to get my bumpers lol

 

what did you use to put them back on? Like what kind of glue?

 

i bought some emblem adhesive at the auto parts store for the rear one. the front emblem just snaps back into place.
