I use the rotary switch to dim the dash lights but EVIC light ends up a little too bright for my comfort and safety.

if you already tried to dim it using the switch and it's still too bright, you can always turn it off by using the arrow key...
You have to hit the left arrow twice on my truck and then it will turn off the stuff in the middle, but still shows the compass, radio station and Odometer
