Has anyone noticed that the Fan for the HVAC system seems a little loud at low speasd and has a clicking sound I was wondering if it is just me as I pretty sensitive to noises or there is actually something worng.

 

Maybe it just sounds loud to you because they made the interior so quiet on the freeway. I'm still amazed at how low I can have the volume on the radio and still hear it well while going 80 mph. Anyway, I don't think the fan is too loud on low and I can be picky with noises too. No clicking noises in my truck either.

 

Maybe someone droppedsomething into the defroster?

 

Mine is noisy and getting noisier. Has the clicking at low speeds. I'll probably take it in when it get's a little louder.

 

I noticed the same thing. It is very faint and I only hear it with the radio turned off but I did notice it. I don't think I'll bring it in for it because I really don't want them pulling anything apart. Seems like whenever they pull something apart I end up with more noise than I had before.

 

Same noise here, I had mine replaced under warranty. It is a lot quieter now, I always thought it seemed loud, but now it is nice and quiet. I had the noise on the lowest speed too, worse when cold. Now it is all good.

 

Trying to get dealer to replace took it in on Saturday said they performed an update to adjust the fan speeed and there was a RRT for it but I can't find anything and it is still driving me crazy. One of the reasons I bought the truck was because of how quite it is and now I have to listen to this and also I noticed that I do not have anything covering the fan I have seen posts that pieces of carpeting were falling down so did they just take it off after it bacame an issue.

 

mine just started it, the fan box under the passenger glove box floor. one day it's full blast and quiet and the next it's loud as crap. i'm going to check my buddies CC and see if his is that loud before I take it in...

 

Mine's pretty much silent on the lowest setting (kock on wood) Those of you with the problem, does it do it in all conditions, or only when you run heat or only when you run a certain flow position (i.e. floor, defroster, etc...) You should narrow down the exact details amongst yourselves and see if you can pinpoint the problem so you can all get it fixed.

 

mine happens on all the settings now, heat/ac, feet or vents. My main noise is the fan box under the passenger glove box foot area. I'm checking my buddies today to compare, maybe I'm just being picky now??? But I swear it didn't sound that way a week ago...
