Default Snow RAM

Thought I'd share a little December snow storm with ya'll. Of course this level of snow certainly wouldn't be news were it not for the fact the photo was taken in Houston, TX this afternoon!

It's stopped snowing now and that's fine with me. While I was born in San Antonio I actually grew up in Ohio and Colorado. As such, I kinda miss the white stuff on occassion. Like most "kids" I seem to derive great joy from seeing a few fluries drifting down from the heavens...

BTW - This is the first photo I've posted of my "new" daily driver. The truck is about as stock as they come with the lowly V6 under the hood. I added the wheels two weeks ago and a trailer hitch last weekend. Future "upgrades" include power door locks and a better sounding exhaust.

This morning in SA, TX - we waited for the snow as all the weather reports said we would get, but instead we got the bright sun by afternoon...

Wheels look good by the way...

Actually, they did close some of the schools (well - let them out early at any rate). The forecast was for a lot more snow than we actually had and as one might imagine, snow plows and sand trucks are generally not needed in this neck of the woods. As such we don't have any and descretion is certainly the better part of valour...

Gotta hand it to the drivers today. Everyone played nice on the slick streets and there were no major accidents to report. It appears global warming creates snow storms in Texas where none existed before - so we've had a few practice days the last couple of years...

Apparently it's also been snowing up in Killeen/Ft. Hood as well...not to mention the marble sized hail we got here in Iraq a couple weeks ago, and the current rain tonight...global warming? What's that? heh.

Thanks - I agree 100%

Look in the "For Sale" section here on the forum. That's where I found mine. The member who had them lived about an hour and a half south of me. We met up at a Discount Tire as a "half way" point (although I got the better end of the deal mileage wise). He swapped out these for some fine looking wheels that better fit the look he was after. I paid what he wanted - which was $1000 for tires and wheels. There is one bad spot about the size of a finger nail on a back edge, but other than that they were in great shape.

I've also found quite a few sets on Craigslist - all in the same general price range.
