Talking Opinions Needed- Best 4.7L Intake

Thinking of picking up a k&n intake (63-1529) for my 4.7L. Didn't see a Volant system for it, only for 5.7L. I figured if I'm gonna spend a couple hundred bucks on one, i'd like to see what most people recommend. I'm not looking for a big speed gain, pretty much just wanting better gas mileage, although a lil better pickup would be nice. Any help is appreciated.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...d=370439404359

Will do the same thing as a $300 K&N intake?

No, they do not.

That ebay intake will most likely land you a nice hydrolocked motor at some point. There is no shielding around the filter elements like what you would get with a K&N, Volant, AFE, or other system of the sort. Try getting China dealer A to pay for damages caused by their product where K&N has you covered as do most other brands.

K&N is a good choice always. I am happy with my AFE too.

You get what you pay for, "working for a proformance shop" and installing name brands might be expensive but, the install is typed out for you, everything fits with NO modifications, now when we have people bring in ebay brand parts they never fit, always have to modify, and will end up costing you more in the end, i have the K&N and love it.
