Default Mopar 2.5 inch lift

I finally went and ordered the mopar lift kit 2.5/.75 lift kit 2 months ago. I got a call from the stealership today, the told me that Mopar is not going to cary this lift, it as not even susposed to be offered and sold, the 2.5 kit they will have is going to have 4 new shocks and new heavy duty springs for the rear. front will be the spacers. The kit will cost $1000.00 after taxes.
So I said screw mopar I went with daystar 2.5 for 165, Ill post pictures after install.

I heard that Mopar was going to do something like this. I am kinda glad they are offering a rear spring now with the kit. I got the other Mopar kit and had the dealership install it. My kit cost me $200 plus about $450 install and alignment. Had I known they where going to do this so soon I would have waited and bought this kit. Price is a little high but consider your powertrain warranty, how much is that worth? Put anything on the truck that alter's the powertrain and good luck getting it serviced if it breaks. Plus consider how much the 4" lift kits are running. If my memory serves me right they are about $2500 for the Mopar one. I think they should just call this a 2.5" lift kit because that is what it is now. Anyway do you have a part number for this new lift kit?

Davis you serious? there are so many products out there that do the same thing as the mopar kit. I to am worried about messing with the warranty but think about if its done right the first time and you take all the nessesary precautions in the long run you still could save money if something "breaks". I'm sure springs will soon be a hot idea before too long. as for me allI want is a LEVEL truck.

If you go with a good company/ lift kit manufacturer, like superlift, their warranty covers anything damaged from the installation of their lift; plus they are the ones who make the mopar kit anyway. So if you want to bend over and let Mopar and Dodge screw you with those ridiculous prices go right ahead.

I do not dispute what any of you are saying. However the Superlift price will be the same as Mopar, it was for the leveling kit I got. Also Consider this, I priced new rear HD springs and they are $400 buck's. Figure new shocks are about $300, so there is $700 right there. Then the original spacer kit was $200, now where up to $900 plus shipping for all of these items. Like I said before I think the $1000 price tag is high but the 4" kit is $2500 bucks. I think it all depends on what you want and what makes you happy. If you want to spend $500 on a cheaper kit and possibly risk loosing the warranty and free service then that is your right it is your truck. Just remember that the Driveshafts seem to be the weak point when lifted. Buy another kit and they are not covered. Blow one out and you can plan on spending about $500 bucks out of pockett. Maybe you will get lucky and not have any issues. I just feel to me personally that I spent all this money for a new truck so putting cheap parts on it to save a few bucks doesn't make sense. I prefer to spend a little more and know when something goes wrong that my dealer will have to take care of it. Do you really think that, that local 4wd shop will give you a free driveshaft when you break one? My guess is no and the dealer will tell you that the lift caused a bad angle which led to the failure. One last thing I know there are some really good companies out there that make really good kit's, Kore comes to mind first. There 2.5" kit is $1800 bucks but you get a lot but you also loose the warranty. As you can tell the Warranty is very important to me and I do not want to risk loosing it. So again for me Mopar all the way. If that means I can't afford something right now then I save and get the dealer part and keep it right. This is just my opinion, not trying to push my opinion on anyone.

Superlift=Mopar.. I also agree that there are companies that make crap and dont give the truck the right angles to drive correctly. what superlift has for the dodge is a good, extensions for the shocks, which allows the shocks to have that full range. I just think its alittle ridiculious $1000 bucks save alittle longer and you can have the 4'' lift.
