Default 20" with Cooper Zeons keep tripping TPMS

I have at least one tire that drops from 35psi to 29psi in three days. I have had it to the tire store several times complaining.

Today I took it to the tire store so they could dunk it and show me and there was no bubbles or sign of a leak.

What the heck? Every three days the tires low and that darn light comes on.

Anybody else have a problem like this?

They have had it off the rim a couple of times. They said once it was a rim leak so I took it to the dealer and had them write it up but they said no problem found.

So I went back to the tire store so they could show it to me leaking. They have a dunk tank with a mechanical arm that holds the entire wheel under water.

I don't think they filled my tire up before they dunked it this time because I got my truck back with the TPMS light still on. I thought I just needed to drive it for a few to reset it but it has no gone off. I will check pressure after work and see what its at. If its low, I will take it back and have them increase pressure then re-dunk to look for a leak.

I really don't want to have to fill my tires up every three days especially with Winter around the corner.

My old man had the issue on a tire on his GMC 4x4 about 15 years ago. It was suspected to be a bad seal on the rim, but he had it swapped with the spare tire's rim and the problem stayed with the tire. Tire shop still stood by it being a "wheel issue". So he finally got fed up with having to put air in a brand new tire every couple of days. He ended up taking it to my uncles repair shop and tubing that tire. Never had an issue again.

Sucks that it took a tube, but might be what you'd need to do to just not have to mess with it anymore...

That's a great idea! I can have them swap it with the spare and see if that tire holds air on the rim.

I just check the pressure and they did not even pressurize the tire (fill it up to where it was suppose to be 35psi).

Plus the weight of the truck sitting on the wheel has to effect it differently than when its off.

Seems to drain down to 29psi and hold?

My corvette has a leak like this... Mine is where the tire contacts the rim in the bead, and it only leaks when the car is parked with wheel in the right position. It has BFG KDW's on it, and there is some flashing around the bead where the molds met when the tire was cast. I never had it fixed, I have to air the tire up every once in a while though.. Look at your bead,, see if there is sime flashing hanging off there..

Just got back from the tire store. They filled up tire to proper PSI and re-tested. Said they saw a small leak on the back side of the wheel. They chalked that area which is supposed to fill in any imperfections in the rim causing a leak.

I will see what hapens in a few days. Im guessing its going to lose pressure. They suggested that rather then mess with my spare, they will swap tires on my two front rims and see what happens.
