Default HID lights

Anyone out there has the HID so call blue lights on their vehicle. I hear they burn hotter and wandering if they would damage / melt the light casing. Also which one do you recommend! AND…. Are they really brighter?

The higher the number "K" the bluer the HIDs look till they go more towards purple. Also the less light too. More glare also.

Anything over 4300k. And you'll start to get a blue tint hut lose lumens as the kelvins increase.

4300-5000k are your ideal temperature/kelvins ratings. Anything over that you're losing light(lumens) as u increase kelvins....

Increasing kelvins doesn't increase light....
For example black light is roughly 30,000kelvin... How bright is black light?

Hope this is understandable

Xtralights seems to be a good brand and I've seen them around for awhile. Hell, They're used on Black Sheep which is another 4th gen ram going to SEMA.
