Default 0-60 and 1/4 mile with G-tech pro.

My new Laramie seems to be pulling harder since I got a 1000 miles on the motor, that and the cool weather seem to help. So i decided to see what it would do accecleration wise with my G-tech pro hooked up. I launched with traction control off, foot on brake 2000 rpm lift and go!

My Laramie is bone stock accept for a K&N panel filter, it has 3.92 rear gears. I had 200lbs in the back (for what its worth) these were the #s

0-60...5.92 seconds

1/4 mile...14.41 seconds

1/4 mile speed 97.63 mph

I was pretty impressed for a stock 5600 lbs truck, I just wish the tranny would shift harder, it is pretty lazy shifting. I am going to try it in tow haul mode later to see if it is better or worse. This will be my baseline and I will keep testing with all future mods.

nice numbers but unfortunately i dont think those numbers are 100% accurate. if you want the true numbers then just got to the track.

I won't be taking my truck to the strip, but the same g-pro I used today I used in my STI and the numbers were within a tenth and 2 mph when I took that car to the track. If you set them up right they can be pretty accurate.

They may not be accurate but it's close enough...that's good runs!

Good runs! Tuner logged times have been proving very accurate to track times so I think you are pretty close.

Its a 4x4, loaded. I'm waiting for my 14"mufflex muffler.I ordered it 2 weeks ago still don't have it. They say it got lost in the mail. When it gets here i will retest with the muffler. I also want to test tow/haul mode before that.

WOW! Those are awesome times. My superchips says my best 0-60 is 7.4sec.

I've got the 3.21's, do the higher gear ratios really make that much of a difference? I've always thought the truck seems very sluggish off the line. About 30-40mph in first it pulls like a beast though.

Yea if you throw some 3.92's or higher your truck will be more responsive. Unfortunately your truck will also revv higher at higher speeds and your gas mileage will decrease. I think 3.92 is a good ratio though. I wouldn't go much higher than that unless I was putting a lift and some oversized tires on there.

I have the 3.21's as well. I've gotten about 7.1 seconds 0-60 from my experience.

I think the 3.92's will yield you better overall mileage unless you do a lot of high speed highway driving.

With the 3.21's I find the truck is very resistant to using MDS on the highway as the needed throttle input to produce the torque to keep the truck moving keeps MDS off.

So at lower highway speeds (65mph or so), the MPG should be rather similar, as the 3.92's will need less throttle input to keep the truck moving, so the mileage evens out as even though the RPM's are a bit higher on a 3.92, throttle input is less. However, as you drive at higher speeds, the 3.21's start to gain advantage as the RPM's noticeably stay lower and you approach speeds where neither ratio will use MDS.

However, the other advantage with 3.92's is that you will get MUCH better city mileage. City driving is absolutely terrible with the 3.21 diff. You have to drive SO slow to get decent mileage and the gears are so tall and far apart.

For what we use the truck for, I think the 3.21 diff is fine since 70% of the miles on the truck are sitting at 90mph on the open road, but for anything else I probably would have wanted the 3.92's. Just the best overall diff.
