Default TPMS Error from HID's?

Strange issue, I'm wondering if anyone else had experienced this. When I installed my HID headlights I noticed that when they first came on the tire pressure warning light would come on for a few seconds, then turn off. Yesterday after I installed the HID fog lights, I got the same thing, but didn't think any more of it since it was already happening with the headlights with no ill effects. Today while driving with both sets of lights on the EVIC lit up with a "Service Air Pressure System" message, and it showed the front tire pressures correctly, but nothing but blanks for the rear tires.

Not saying it couldn't happen, but it would be a heck of a coincidence (to me) for this not to be related to the HID's. Anybody ever have this problem or have any ideas?

Thanks in advance!

Since I installed my HIDs I see the tire warning light come on for a second or two whenever the lights get turned on (either headlights or fogs). I've never had other issues with TPMS. However, its obvious something about the HIDs interferes with the wireless signal from the TPMS sensors to the receiver, so your description doesn't surprise me.

Yep, the ballasts are causing interference. I have heard cases where they cause interference to the radio signal.

Any idea what the solution might be?

Yeah I can agree that it's probably interference. I've also heard of this before. I find it weird that it's effecting the rear sensors and not the front though.

The HID's and ballasts for the headlights are from E-Bay (Pro Tuning Force);I mounted the ballasts for the headlights up in the fenders. They've been in for a couple of weeks now without any problems. The HID's and ballasts for the fogs that I installed on Saturday are from HID Extra; those ballasts are zip-tied to supports next to the fog lights. I'm thinking I might try moving them, but obviously you don't have a lot of options.

So far HID Extra has been nothing but trouble for me...

I will try and put a pic of where mine are mounted (curved metal of the frame I think you can see it if you look up from under the truck. Alot of people have mentioned HIDEXTRA as to causing interference, so could be the brand or could be the mounting spot.

I have the exact same problem with mine. After about 45 minutes to an hour of driving with the lows and fogs HIDS on, I get the TPMS message for the right rear tire. After a few key cycles with the HIDS off the next day, the message will reset itself. Until the next long trip with your HIDS on. Not a major problem but gets annoying. I have the 3B Specialties low and fog HID kits.
