Toyo open country a/t or nitto t/g at
Im looking at buying new tires for my 2010 ram 1500 sport. Looking at toyo o/c at's or nitto t/g at's has any one used one of the following tires? I'm looking at a 305/55/20 any thoughts would be great
the trail grappler is a m/t, my uncle bought the toyo open country m/t last week and they are hands down the smoothest and quietest m/t ive ever seen or heard
i want to ride in a truck the the nittos before i choose which tire i want between these 2
the 305/55 is a 33x12.....u might need a 1/4 or 1/2 spacer for the front to avoid rubbing unless u have a rim thats not stock size

You should also consider the Goodyear Wrangler Silent Armor. From all the reviews I've read they are just as good as the Toyo Open County A/t's (maybe better on snow and ice) plus they come with the severe weather rating.
My local Les Schwab wants $295 for the Toyo's, but will sell me the Goodyears for around $250; this is pricing for 275/60 r20.

If by t/g you mean Terra Grappler (as opposed to Trail Grappler) then flip a coin. Toyo and Nitto are the same company and the tread pattern is almost identical. Go with the one you can get a better price on. They are an EXCELLENT tire...
I have owned the Nitto Terra Grapplers, and they are great tires.Good traction in snow, and for an agressive tread, the ride was great...I can't reply to the Toyo Open Country MT,I have never had them, but they look like a nice tire!Tires that I have owned and liked:Nitto Mud Grapplers,Terra Grapplers,Procomp x-Terrains,and Goodyear Wrangler MTR....

If the Terra Grapplers are cheaper than the Toyos (which they should be) go with them. They are a great tire, I've ran a few sets of them over the years and also never processed many defect adjustments whilst I was in the tire business.
I run Nitto trail grapplers and tow a 26' camper with no problem for a mudder. Noise is not noticeable in the cab, not with a magnaflow anyways
As for handling i havent noticed any wobbling, more from the coil springs than anything else. I love them.

Don't forget the Cooper Zeon LTZ's. Have them on my Ram and love them. Great on dry and wet pavement, and have the same agressive tread. Besides, by American! Discount Tire (ebay) has the cheapest prices for 4.
