Default vandalism....

Well I go to walk out to my truck today to go to work, when I find some nice green spray paint on my passenger side bed side just before the taillight. Needless to say I'm pretty pissed off.

Does anyone have a good method to getting off the spray paint without removing the factory paint?

If it's fresh you can probably take it off with some type of cleaner or light polish. Something like Goo Gone or Goof Off as a cleaner. That shouldn't hurt the factory paint, though you'll need to wax the area again once complete. Or try some 3M Fine Cut rubbing compound as the polish.

Bummer to hear, by the way. Some people just suck.

Ok. I do have some rubbing compound, as well as some goo gone so hopefully it comes out. And I don't know how fresh it actually is... I touched it when I first saw it and it was already dry. I now am at work, so it will be atleast 12 hours from now before I can try to work on it...

I'd like to use the vandalism actors face to buff out the the paint personally! It's to sad some people just don't have a real life!

Yea, not hard to remove. Worst case some 1500 grit sand paper, water, rubbing compound and polishing compound.

If I had to pick that is MUCH better than a key.

Go to an automotive paint store, get some reducer like Dupont 3812, use a soft rag. Spray paint usually wipes right off.

If you find out who did it, stab them right in the eyes with an ice pick
Fuggin loosers....!!!!!!!! If it were my truck, someone would get hurt permenatly.

Try some enamel reducer, or some denatuerd alchohol to get the spray paint off.
DO NOT USE ANY LAQUER THINNER`S, IT`LL EAT THE CLEARCOAT AND PAINT...!
Make sure you wax the pizz out of it when you`re done gettin the spray paint off.
Some good carnuba wax`s will actually lift the spray paint off as well.
Silicone wax wont, it`ll just bury it into the clearcoat worse.

Well I got off work early and got to stripping paint. Much easier than anticipated. Im not sure if it was because my truck was dirty, maybe crappy paint, who cares, all it took was a towel and it wiped right off. I tried a power washer first, but didnt really do anything. None-the-less, within three minutes i was all done. Here are some pictures of before/after...
