Default Fuel Sloshing

Does anyone else have a problem with fuel sloshing? I thought I had a tranny problem on my 2011 quad cab until I found out it's the fuel. Feels like a thump about a half second after I stop.

Most annoying. Some baffels in the tank would have been nice.

I feel the occasional gentle thump when the tank is 3/4 full. If that is all that I have to put up with, I'll stay happy with my purchase.

It is a common issue. Do some searching here and you'll find lots of discussion about noises that happen just like you describe when the tank is around 3/4 full. Not sure if it is more prevalent with the 32 gallon tank or not.

Happens in mine all the time.

Yes, it was the 32 gallon tanks. Seems like no one with the 26 gallon tanks had the problem.

I am so glad I got the 32 gallon tank. Never heard the sloshing issue though. I'll probably hear it now that I am aware of it...

Just FYI, you won't hear any 'sloshing', all you'll feel is a very mild 'thud' shortly after you come to a stop when your fuel tank is roughly 3/4 full.

Thanks for your input folks. I did do a search on it in the forums and I guess it happens a lot.

What made me realize it is sloshing fuel is one day I could hear it slosh around once I got out of the truck in my driveway, but as Rob says, you can't hear the sloshing inside.

Guess it's just something to live with. Never happened with my diesel.

OK so I want sloching. I have the 26 gallon tank and want the 32. I read that there are baffles that make hte 32 a 26. Canthese be removed?

anyone know what required to change to 32? Part numbers?
