Default Drive Train Warranty for Life?

I've seen numerous mentions of lifetime drive train warranty on this forum. I have a 2010 1500 TRX4 and don't remember any discussion at dealerhip about this nor do I remember it in any of the literature that came with the truck. Was this only for 2009? Do we all have this standard?

As far as I know, the Life Time warranty was discontinue on 2010...The 2009 models were the last ones on having the power train warranty for life..

That is correct. I know the 11s got a 5/100k drive train. Not sure if 10s got that.

I hear its only lifetime to the original owner I'm unsure how true that is as I got this information from a co-worker who purchased a used 09 and our local dealer told him that it only applies to the original owner.

The 10s got a 5yr/100k as well. The 09s were the ones that got lifetime.

Default lifetime

Only the 09's and original owners. They are not transferable .
The 10's come with 5yr/100k that stays with the truck, transferable . don't know about the 2011's ????

So I have a 5yr/100K, that's pretty decent. Guess I need to read all my literature again as that escaped me somewhere along the way. Thanks to all for clarifying.

All 2010+ rams come with a 5yr/100k mile powertrain warranty. You can buy a service contract that will extend that coverage but it will only cover the original owner
