Default Bed Caps Fading?

Is anyone having issues with their plastic bed caps fading? Mine are turning grayish in areas. The truck only has 18000kms, is always garaged and I wash it once a week. Poor quality plastic?

Not fading but warping. they took pics 3 weeks ago and still have not heard from them. Same as my Mopar steps. No word yet. I didn't see any of the bed caps on the lot warping or fading. Get it in for warranty asap....

Wow my dealer took pics of my rims on a Friday and they were in on Tuesday. Something like that and the running boards same took the pic and they came in like 2 days later. Mine warped too but it is my fault because I put a tonneau the lifts from the back and has rams and well I did not tightened them properly so they twisted the plastic, i cut out the spots and put plastic spacers so they would lay down they are not , I am gonna buy new ones I think they are like 17 bucks a side???Beside I would like to see what is going on under them, like corrosion etc. This time cut out the spots I need cut first.

Find a good Liguid polish like Turtle ICE that can be applied to any surface even the plastic trim. It doesn't leave a white residue and makes the bed caps look like new.

Mine is going on 3 years and no problems. I apply about every 3 months and do the step pad on top of the rear bumper. Nice thing about this wax is that you can do the whole truck and not worry about being messy on the application, paint, chrome and plastic all look great.

I use mothers back to black on my 09 and they still look new even in the Texas sun. I put it on everytime I wash the truck.

Just be thankful y'all don't have a Cheby Avalanche. I had an '02 I bought new off the lot and within 6 months all that cladding, bed covers, pillars were ghosting on me pretty bad, not to mention the bed cover was leaking every time it rained. I was using a bottle of Armor All on the plastic every week.

The dealer contacted GM on both and said that the plastic was only warranted for cracking and not fading and that the bed cover was not supposed to be 100% waterproof. I was like WTF??? and traded the thing in on my '04 Ram...
