Default day star lift kit

Am a new member here , and this is my 1st post . so here I go .
am from the middle east and I got a new dodge ram laramie. I had before I jeep wrangle and I like to go to lots of off road trips . and the RAM was a dream come true to me. any way I ordered a lift kit , it was the daystar 2.5 inch . but when I got it I was amazed that its not . it looks so small. I had a 2inch lift kit on my wrangler and I swear that it was twice its size..
Is it difrant in trucks as am a new truck user ? and does any 1 have the same lift kit ? and can I put a 315 / 70 / 17 tier after I install it ?
hope you guys can help me out .
thanx..

i believe that a spacer on the coil is half of what the actual lift height will be, due to the geometry of the suspension, so your 2.5" lift spacer is probably only 1-1.25". ... is that what you are asking?
