Only started doing it coincidently after updating and installing 91 octane perfomance tune from superchips. When I first start the truck cold it will jump up to 1500 rpms quickly and drop about 3-4 times then idles normal and runs normal. I'm thinking its probably just the tune but has anyone noticced this before? Will try the stock setting later.

 

my truck does the same thing haha !! i thought mine was the only one ever since i did the last update on my superchips it started doing it i really dont care cuz the newest update worked wonders on the driveablity of the truck i even tried reseting the PCM nothing works but if you get it figured out def lemme know

 

Oh ok right at least its not just the truck. Ill message Ron @ superchips and see what he says.

not quite sure what your talking about, but I remember when my father first got his hemi back in 09 it would start up loud (like a loud fan) and then quiet down after 30 seconds. I threw the diablo trinity on mine and it started up silent. I pulled the tuner off and it now starts up loud just like his and then will quiet shortly after

 

Mine is a 09, and it did this when i first got the tuner in 09..........e-mailed S/C and they asked a few questions, them made an update for me, it starts perfect like it did before, no more idle hunt or weird behavior, mine wouldnt do it all the time but sometimes, it can be taken care of, some of the trucks do it and some dont. Mine also ALWAYS shifted above 5900, like 6000,6100, RPM,with the S/C tune, so mine was a weird one
